Ocean Club Bistro to Transition to Seasonal Operation
After a successful and rewarding summer season filled with sunshine, wonderful guests, and strong patio revenues, Ocean Club Bistro has announced plans to transition to a seasonal operation.
Owners Yester Mani and Walter Kohli shared that the decision comes after thoughtful consideration of the evolving restaurant landscape and the desire to ensure the long-term sustainability of the business.
“Our team has done an outstanding job delivering genuine hospitality to both our local community and visiting guests,” said Kohli. “However, as the restaurant industry continues to face significant challenges, we believe that operating seasonally will allow us to protect our summer gains and ensure a strong future for Ocean Club.”
Located on Sechelt’s iconic waterfront, Ocean Club Bistro will close for the season on November 1, 2025, with plans to reopen in May 2026.
Kohli also announced that the restaurant is being offered as a turn-key lease opportunity for a qualified operator who wishes to take advantage of its prime location and established reputation.
In addition to managing Ocean Club Bistro, Kohli recently signed a new five-year agreement to continue operating the Painted Boat Resort Spa & Marina, underscoring his ongoing commitment to hospitality on the Sunshine Coast.
“Yester, our entire Ocean Club team, and I sincerely appreciate the loyalty, support, and understanding we’ve received from our community and guests,” Kohli added.
